West Vancouver has many mid-century "West Coast modern" homes — post-and-beam construction, flat or low-slope roofs, and walls of glass. They're beautiful, and they come with known maintenance items: roof membranes, original single-pane glazing, and older building systems. On sloped view lots, drainage and retaining walls also deserve a careful look before you commit.
